Suppressor NFA Q&A

What brand of Suppressors do you sell?

Deschutes GunWerks has access to most all brands on the market. We mainly use Silencer Shop, and Allen Arms Tactical to acquire from the distributors inventory and we are also direct with a few of the manufacturers.

How difficult is it to purchase a suppressor?

It is not difficult at all, and you have our full attention to help you with it. If you cannot pass a background investigation, I’d suggest not proceeding with the process. Deschutes GunWerks is a newer suppressor dealer in the Central Oregon area. From start to submission, it takes roughly an hour. An ATF eForm account must be made prior to arriving, you’ll need your User ID and PIN for submission.

What is the procedure to obtain a suppressor?

First you decide what suppressor you want to purchase. After purchasing and having it shipped to Deschutes GunWerks once a Serial # is given we can start the submission process... fingerprints, photos etc. Once the Form 4 is submitted to BATF NFA Branch we store your suppressor until we receive approval to transfer the suppressor to you.

How long does it take until I can take possession of my suppressor?

This a very hard question to answer because it varies so much. Right now we see approvals taking between 36 hours to 12 months.

Can I purchase a suppressor online from another dealer and have it transferred to me by Deschutes GunWerks?

Yes, absolutely..... However, we would appreciate if you would reach out to us first and ask if we can't get the item you are looking for a competitive price. If we can't get it for you, we are happy to assist you in a NFA Transfer. We still will utilize the Cerberus LiveScan and the eForms submittal. Cost for a NFA Transfer is $100 per item. That charge does not include the Tax Stamp Fee that is paid directly to the BATF.
